Cyanotype on Glass - 06
The original image here was taken on medium format film in my RZ67 about two or three years ago. Allt na Faing is a small burn (stream) that runs down a hillside close to home. So called because 'Faing is gaelic for Sheepfold, where this burn joins the main river is a large circular sheepfold dating from at least the late 1700's.
As I make more of these cyanotypes on glass I am becoming more comfortable with their idiosyncrasies. While i am all for clarity and perfection I am finding the few anomalies positive in the resultant images. They somehow lend a kind of realism in the process, and add character to the view.?
